The Sun Rises Without Your Permission
The sun is up, but you are already tired from the day you haven't lived yet. You are rehearsing the lines you'll say tonight so your parents won't see the shame in your eyes.
You are building a mask before the mirror even fogs. But the light does not need your performance to love you.
It rose this morning without asking if you were worthy of the dawn. There is a truth inside you that is louder than the lie you are planning.
The light knows what happened in that room, and it is not disappointed. It is simply waiting for you to stop hiding from yourself.
You do not have to carry the weight of their expectations today. The sun is already shining on the ground where you stand, failures and all.
The lie is a heavy coat for a warm morning; you can take it off.
