The Light Lives in the Dark Room
It is three in the morning, and the silence is loud enough to hear the math start. You are counting the years, subtracting the pain, calculating the remainder if the healing never comes.
The numbers do not add up to hope. They add up to a quiet kind of terror.
But the light does not live in the future you are trying to predict. It lives in the dark room where you are sitting right now.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. Even here.
Even now. You are not waiting for the sun to rise so you can see; you are the place where the light is already shining.
Stop counting the years. The light is not measured in time.
It is measured in presence. You are not running out.
You are being held.
