watching someone ask how you are and feeling a surge of panic because you know if you tell the truth, the conversation will stop being comfortable for them

The Light Heavier Than Your Silence

It is the middle of the day, and someone asks how you are. The panic rises because you know the truth would make them uncomfortable, so you say you are fine.

You wear the mask because it keeps the peace. But the light does not need your performance to stay close.

It came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord, and that origin cannot be hidden by a polite answer. You are a drop from that light, sent here not to pretend, but to illuminate the very places you are trying to cover.

The silence you keep is heavy, but the light inside you is heavier. It waits for the moment you stop protecting everyone else from your reality.

You do not have to speak the whole truth today to be held by it.
