The Light Comes Before You Ask
It is late. The house is quiet, but your mind is loud with the words you typed and then deleted.
You are afraid that sending the message will make you a burden. So you carry the weight alone, staring at the blank screen in the dark.
But listen — the light does not measure your worth by how little you ask of others. There is a voice that said, 'I was hungry and you gave me something to eat...
I was a stranger and you invited me in.' The light was not waiting for you to be clean or composed before it sat at your table. It came to the house first.
Your need is not a disturbance. It is the very door the light walks through.
You do not have to protect anyone from your pain tonight. The one who loves you is not tired of your honesty.
Open the message. Send it.
Or simply let it be known that you are here, and that is enough.
