The Light That Holds Your Heavy Mask
In the middle of this long day, you are carrying a heavy mask—the one you wear to prove you are grateful, so no one sees how you are breaking inside. That performance is your own cross, and no one asked you to bear it alone. The light does not need your performance of thanks to know you are worthy of love.
Think of the birds who do not store grain, or the flowers that do not spin thread, yet are clothed in glory you cannot match. You were not made to earn the right to exist by how well you smile for others. The Father's love is not a reward for your endurance; it is the ground beneath your feet, holding you even when you cannot stand.
You do not have to be a light for the world to be loved by the light. The truth is, the very thing you hide—the fatigue, the doubt, the quiet ache—is where the mercy of God meets you most deeply. The mask is heavy, but you were never meant to hold it up.
Stop. Breathe. The light is not waiting for you to be better; it is already here, holding the weight you thought you had to carry.
