Walk In As You Are
You sit in the quiet of the car, engine off, hands still on the wheel, trying to smooth the storm out of your face before you turn the key. It feels like a betrayal to walk inside smiling when you are breaking apart.
But listen — the light does not need you to compose yourself first. It is not waiting for the mask to be perfect.
It is already in the house, waiting for the real you. You do not have to perform okayness for the light to love you.
It saw the tears before you wiped them. It heard the sob before you swallowed it.
Walk in as you are — tired, fractured, unfinished. The light is not afraid of your wreckage.
