The Stranger's Voice Is You Waking
You opened your mouth to tell the truth, and a stranger's voice came out. That disconnect — hearing yourself sound like someone you don't know — is a kind of terror that sits heavy in the quiet house.
It feels like the ground has shifted beneath your feet, like you are speaking a language you never learned. But listen closely.
The voice that trembles is not the light leaving you; it is the light breaking through the mask you have worn for so long. There was a man born blind who spent his whole life knowing only darkness, and when he finally spoke, his neighbors said, 'This cannot be the same man.' They were confused by the change.
They wanted the old beggar, not the one who could see. Jesus did not correct the man's shaking voice.
He let the new sound stand as proof that something inside had been remade. Your strange voice tonight is not a sign that you are lost.
It is the sound of the real you, finally waking up after years of sleep. The stranger you hear is just the part of you that has been waiting to speak.
