Mercy Is Not A Betrayal Of Truth
You are afraid that if you speak gently of the wound, you are betraying the one who made it. As if mercy is a verdict that says the pain didn't matter.
But the light does not ask you to choose between truth and kindness. It asks you to remember who you are beneath the story.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. That light is not a weapon.
It is a home. You can hold the memory of the hurt without becoming the jailer of your own heart.
The one who wounded you does not own your future. You were sent into this world as a drop from the light to illuminate the dark, not to guard the shadows.
Tonight, let the memory be just a memory. Not a chain.
Not a definition. Just a thing that happened, now held in something far larger than itself.
