The Freedom of Imperfect Words
The words have been rehearsed a thousand times in the quiet of this room, polished until they felt like armor against the hurt you caused. But when the moment arrived, the throat closed and the speech died before it could be born.
You swallowed the apology whole because you were afraid it still wouldn't be enough to fix what is broken. Listen — the light does not require a perfect performance to meet you in the dark.
There is a freedom in bringing forth what is within you, even if it stammers, even if it fails. What you bury out of fear will only grow heavier in the silence, but what you speak — however imperfectly — is the very thing that saves you.
The one who sees you knows that your love is greater than your inability to articulate it.
