You Are Already Written in Light
The words are out now. The silence that follows is not empty; it is heavy with the sound of them rearranging you.
You can feel it happening in their eyes—the mental editing of every shared memory to fit this new, broken version of who they think you are. They are rewriting the past to make sense of the present.
But the light does not edit. It does not scan your history for errors to highlight.
It sees the whole picture, the messy and the holy, and it stays. You are waiting for them to finish their work of redefinition, but you do not need their permission to exist.
The truth of who you are is not a draft they get to revise. It is already written in light.
They may change the story they tell about you tonight. But they cannot change the light that lives inside you.
