The Light Holds You While You Break
The water is loud enough to hide the shaking, but not loud enough to drown out the rehearsal. You are practicing the explanation for your no, shaping the words so they sound firm instead of broken.
In the long middle of the day, the performance feels heaviest — the mask you wear while breaking inside. But the light does not need your speech to be steady.
It sees the tears mixing with the shower water and calls them honest. The Father's love is not waiting for your perfect answer.
It is already inside the silence you are trying to protect. You do not have to hold it together for the light to hold you.
