practicing the apology in the shower but knowing the words will fail when you see them

The Light Meets You in the Stammer

The water hides the tremor in your hands. You rehearse the words until they feel solid, until you believe you can carry them into the room.

But you know the moment you see their face, the script will dissolve. The apology you practiced is for a stranger, not the person you love.

And when the words fail, silence will rush in to fill the space. That silence is not failure.

It is the only honest thing you have left. The light does not need your perfect speech.

It meets you in the stammer. It meets you in the broken sentence.

It meets you in the tears that come when the logic falls apart. You do not have to fix this tonight.

You only have to show up.
