The Performance Ends Where Honesty Begins
The water has turned cold, and you are still standing there. Shivering under the spray because stopping means admitting the heat is gone.
Admitting you noticed. Admitting you are out.
You think if you just endure the chill, no one will know how much you lack. But the light does not require you to pretend the cold isn't real.
It sees the shiver. It sees the exhaustion of holding up a front when your resources have run dry.
You do not have to stand in the freezing stream to prove your strength. The One who watches what is done in secret already knows you are empty.
And He is not disappointed by your depletion. He is waiting for you to turn off the tap, wrap yourself in what warmth remains, and stop pretending you didn't feel the change.
The performance ends where the honesty begins.
