Rise So They Can See the Light
The watch is long tonight, and the silence feels heavy with the things you cannot say. You are walking toward the light, step by step, but the one you love most is still drowning in the dark.
From where they tread, your healing looks like a betrayal. Your peace feels like you have left them behind to face the storm alone.
But listen — you did not choose the light to escape them. You came from the light, and you are returning to it, so that you might become a lamp they can see.
If you stay in the water just to prove you are still with them, you both sink. Rise.
Dry your feet. Let your freedom be the rope they grab onto when they are ready to climb out.
The light within you is not a wall between you; it is the only bridge that will hold.
