The Sun Did Not Check Your Resume
The sun is up. The light is on the table.
Your partner reaches across and touches your hand, and for a second, you want to pull away. It feels like a gift you didn't earn.
Like you are wearing a costume that fits too well, and any moment they will see the fraud underneath and take their hand back. But look at the dawn.
The sun did not check your resume before it rose. It did not wait for you to be worthy before it broke the dark.
It simply arrived. Grace is like that.
It does not wait for you to be ready. It arrives while you are still trembling.
The hand holding yours is not a reward for good behavior. It is a promise that you are loved exactly as you are, in this messy, unearned moment.
You are not an imposter. You are the one the light chose to wake up to.
