The Dawn Does Not Ask Permission
The sun is up now. The words you spoke in the dark are out in the light, and you are watching their face for a flinch.
You are scanning for the moment the mask slips, waiting for the disgust you are sure is hiding there. But look at the dawn.
It did not ask the earth if it was worthy before it broke the horizon. It simply arrived.
The light does not hesitate. It does not scan your face for reasons to withhold itself.
It shines because that is what it is. You shared your brokenness, and the world did not end.
The sun rose anyway. The light was already there, before you spoke, and it is still there now that you have.
You are not waiting for permission to be seen. You are already visible.
The dawn does not apologize for arriving.
