The Dawn Did Not Check With Anyone
The sun is up, but your thumb is still scrolling, refreshing a screen that has nothing new to show you. You are waiting for a name to appear that you know, deep in your bones, will not come today.
The silence from that person feels like a verdict, but the light rising outside your window says otherwise. It does not wait for their reply to shine on your face.
It rises anyway. It warms the room anyway.
The dawn did not check with anyone before it arrived; it simply broke through the dark because that is its nature. You are looking for life in a black mirror, but the true light is already flooding the sky, independent of any human response.
The kingdom of God is spread out upon the earth right now, and you do not see it because your eyes are locked on the one thing that is absent. Put the phone down.
Look at the light that came while you were waiting. It was never gone.
