the phantom sensation of your voice failing you right when you needed to speak up

Your Silence Is Not Your End

The sun is up, but your throat still feels like it did in the dark—tight, sealed, unable to form the words you needed yesterday. You replay the moment you stayed silent, hearing your own voice fail you right when it mattered most.

But the light that rises now does not ask you to rehearse what you didn't say. It simply asks you to breathe.

There was a man born blind, and the world assumed his darkness was a punishment, a reason to look away. But the light stopped and said his condition was simply the space where God's work could be displayed.

Your silence was not your end. It was the setup for a new kind of speech—one that doesn't rely on your perfect timing.

Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you. The words you missed yesterday are not gone; they are waiting for you to speak them today, not in fear, but in mercy.
