The Light Walks Beside Your Fear
The sun is up, but your throat still feels like it's closing around a word you cannot say. Someone asked you a simple question hours ago, and you gave them the safe answer, the polished lie, and now the silence of it is choking you in the morning light.
You are walking through a day that has already begun, carrying a weight that makes your shoulders ache, pretending the air is easy to breathe. But look — the light is not asking for your performance.
It is simply rising, indifferent to your mask, spilling gold across the floor whether you are honest or not. There was a man who walked beside two strangers on a road, listening to their grief while they stared at the ground, unable to recognize him until the ordinary moment of breaking bread.
The light walks with you right now, even in the disguise of your fear. It does not demand you confess before you take another step.
It just walks. The dawn has broken over your secret, and the world is still here.
You do not have to be perfect to be present.
