The Light Waits When You Stop Pretending
The door clicks shut. They are gone.
And for the first time in hours, your shoulders drop. The mask falls.
You do not have to be strong anymore. In this silence, the performance ends.
There is a secret relief in being alone with your own brokenness. But notice — you are not actually alone.
The light is here. It was here while you were pretending.
It is here now that you have stopped. You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord.
You do not need to generate it. You do not need to earn it by being okay.
It is simply there, waiting in the dark with you. The relief you feel is not just the absence of eyes watching.
It is the presence of the one who sees you without judgment and does not look away.
