The Light Was Never Hidden
The sun is up, but your mind is still stuck in that split second when the mask slipped. You are replaying the conversation, convinced they saw the crack, convinced they now know the truth you tried to hide.
But the light does not need your performance to be real. It was there before the slip, and it is there now in the silence.
Jesus once sighed deeply before he spoke healing into a closed-off place, not because he was frustrated with the brokenness, but because he felt its weight. He knows the cost of opening up.
You do not have to explain the tear or the tremble to be held. The dawn has arrived not to expose your failure, but to remind you that what you tried to hide was never darkness—it was just more of the light waiting to be seen.
