The Light Did Not Wait For You
The sun is up, but your hands are still shaking from the night. You made it through the dark, yet your body refuses to believe the war is over. It remembers the terror of closing your eyes when the guard finally dropped. It remembers the vulnerability of sleep.
But look at what has arrived while you were awake. The light did not wait for you to feel safe before it came. It is here now, pressing against the window, indifferent to your fear.
There is a truth living inside you that your panic cannot overwrite. The kingdom is within you. It was there before the first nightmare, and it remains after the last tremor. You do not have to manufacture safety. You only have to remember what is already occupying the space.
The light does not ask you to stop shaking. It simply asks you to notice that you are still here. The dawn has broken, not because you earned it, but because the light rises on its own accord.
