You Do Not Have to Earn the Morning
The sun is up, but your body is still braced for the night. You made it through the dark, yet the moment you finally exhale, the terror arrives — the sudden realization that you are no longer guarding the door.
You are safe enough to feel how unsafe you have been. But the light does not require your vigilance to remain.
It was working while you paced the floor. It was holding you while you stared at the ceiling.
You do not have to earn the morning by staying afraid. The rising sun has already come to shine on those living in the shadow of death, to guide your feet into the path of peace.
Your exhaustion is not a failure; it is the evidence that the battle is over. The guard can drop.
The light is already here.
