The Crack Where The Light Gets Out
The sun is up, but you are still rehearsing the sentence in your head, terrified that your voice will crack and betray the fracture underneath. You are bracing for the moment the mask slips, certain that if they hear the tremor, they will see the break.
But the light of this morning does not demand a steady voice—it only asks that you speak. There is a Father who sees you before you utter a single word, and He does not flinch at the sound of your trembling.
The crack in your voice is not a failure of faith; it is the place where the light gets out. You do not have to hold yourself together for the day to begin.
