The Dawn That Did Not Leave
The sun is up, but the world still feels like it broke last night. You made it through the darkness, even if your hands are shaking as you hold this new morning.
Betrayal leaves a silence that screams, a hollow space where trust used to live. But listen — the light did not leave when they did.
It stayed. It is rising now, not because you earned another day, but because the dawn does not know how to stop coming.
The father in the story did not wait for an apology before he ran; he saw his son while he was still a long way off and met him in the dirt. You are not defined by what was taken from you.
You are defined by the light that remains, untouched and whole. The night stole your peace, but it could not steal the sun.
