The Light Beneath The Mask
The sun is up, but the light inside you feels like it's behind a wall of glass. You sit in the noise, smiling at the right moments, while a quiet voice whispers that you are already gone.
No one sees the dying. They see the performance.
But the light does not need an audience to be real. It was there before the mask was put on, and it remains beneath the ache.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—even when that person feels like a ghost in a crowded room. You do not have to bring forth a perfect face to be saved.
You only have to remember that the thing dying inside you is not the light. It is the lie that you are alone.
The dawn has broken, and the light is not waiting for you to be visible to shine.
