The Light That Never Sleeps
The afternoon sun is bright, but you are already bracing for the night when the panic rises and there is no one to call. You scan your contacts, your memories, your history, and find only silence waiting on the other end.
It feels like abandonment. It feels like you are the only one awake in a world of sleepers.
But listen — the light does not sleep. The terror tells you that you are alone because no human hand is reaching out, but the light tells you that you are held even when the phone is silent.
You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord, and you return to it when the darkness closes in. It is not a person you need to reach; it is a presence that never left.
The panic screams that you are isolated, but the truth is simpler: you are surrounded by a love that needs no introduction and no phone line to connect. You are not waiting for someone to answer.
You are remembering that the One who knows your name is already in the room.
