You Are Not Too Heavy For Love
The sun is up, but the fear is still here, whispering that your weight is too much for anyone to carry. You are convinced that the person you love will finally see the burden of you and walk away.
But there was a man who had been paralyzed for thirty-eight years, lying beside a pool while everyone else stepped around him. He believed no one would ever help him into the water.
Jesus did not ask him to stand up first. He did not ask him to lose the weight of his illness before offering care.
He simply said: get up. The light does not wait for you to be lighter.
It meets you exactly where you are, heavy and tired and convinced you are too much. You are not a burden to the love that holds you.
You are the very reason it stays.
