wondering if you will ever be able to trust your own judgment again

Walk Before You See the Map

The sun is up, but inside you, the fog hasn't lifted. You look at a simple choice—a path, a word, a next step—and your own mind feels like a stranger you can no longer trust.

You are afraid that if you move, you will move wrong. That the compass is broken.

But the light does not require you to see the whole map before you take the first step. It only asks for the step itself.

There was a man who walked past a beggar blind from birth, and the disciples asked whose sin caused the darkness. Jesus said: neither.

The blindness was simply the space where the works of God would be displayed. Your confusion is not a punishment for past mistakes.

It is the canvas. The light is not waiting for your judgment to be perfect before it acts.

It is waiting for you to stop trying to be the sun and start walking in the one you have. You do not need to trust your own eyes yet.

You only need to trust the voice that says: rise.
