The Light Arrived Before You Woke
The sun is up, and the world is already asking for your output. It feels like your worth is a currency you must earn before breakfast, coin by coin, task by task.
But the light that just touched your window did not wait for you to be productive before it arrived. It came while you were asleep.
It came while you were empty. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, still covered in the dirt of his failure, and he ran.
Before the apology, before the speech, before the promise to work harder—he ran. The light does not love you for what you build today.
It loves you because you are already its child. Your value is not a wage; it is a gift that arrived before you woke up.
You can put down the heavy burden of proving yourself, just for this morning.
