You Are Held Before You Perform
The sun is up, and the world is already asking for your output. It is easy to feel that your worth is tied to what you can carry today.
That if you stop providing, the love stops flowing. But listen — the light does not trade.
It does not calculate your utility before it shines. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
He did not ask what the son could do for him. He only cared that the son was there.
You are not loved for your labor. You are loved because you exist.
The morning light does not earn its place in the sky; it simply arrives. And so do you.
The terror whispers that you must perform to be kept. The truth says you are already held.
Rest in this: you are not a tool to be used, but a child to be known.
