Peace Before You Knock
The sun is up, and the silence in your room is loud with the thing you didn't say. You wanted to apologize, but the person you hurt has already moved on, leaving your words unsent and your guilt heavy in your chest.
There was a woman once who wept at the feet of the light, her tears falling without a single word of defense, and the voice above her said only: 'Your faith has saved you; go in peace.' She did not have to finish her speech to be heard. She did not have to be forgiven by the crowd to be free.
The light sees the apology that never left your lips, and it counts it as done. You are waiting for a door to open that has already closed, but the peace you need does not come from their response.
It comes from the One who knows you were trying to find your way home before you even knew how to knock.
