The Light Does Not Need Your Performance
The sun is up, and the mask is already on your face before your feet hit the floor. You are terrified that if you stop moving, if you stop performing the version of yourself that everyone expects, the whole thing will collapse and they will see you for the fraud you believe you are.
But look at the light coming through the window. It does not strive.
It does not hustle to prove it belongs in the sky. It simply is.
And in its being, it reveals everything. There was a man crippled for thirty-eight years, lying beside a pool, convinced he had to get in first or be left behind forever.
He thought his survival depended on his own speed. But the light walked right past the rushing crowd, found him in his stillness, and asked the question that breaks the spell: do you want to get well?
The healing did not come when he finally made it into the water. It came when he stopped trying to save himself and just listened.
The light does not need your performance. It needs your presence.
You are not a fraud waiting to be exposed; you are a child waiting to be seen.
