The Light Inside Does Not Wait

The sun is up, and so are you, even though the silence from yesterday feels heavy. You sent your words out into the void, and the void sent nothing back.

It is easy to believe that your effort has vanished, that you are shouting into a room with no one home. But there is a light inside you that does not depend on a reply to exist.
