Turn Around and Sit Down
The sun is setting, and the armor you wore all day finally hits the floor. Now the silence rushes in, carrying the one thought you cannot outrun: you hurt someone you love because you believed a lie.
You acted with certainty, but the certainty was a mask for fear. In that moment, your eyes were unhealthy, and your whole body filled with a darkness that felt like truth.
But look at him now. He is not waiting for your perfection.
He is asking a simpler question: do you love me? Not 'do you understand everything?' Not 'are you finally right?' Just: do you love me?
The lie told you that your mistake disqualified you from the table. The light tells you that your love is the only currency that matters.
You do not have to fix the past before you can sit down. You only have to turn around.
The night is not here to punish you for the day you just ruined. It is here to hold you while you learn the difference.
