You Are A Child Already Known

The sun is rising, and you are still here, holding your breath beside the one you love. You are convinced that if they heard the unedited noise in your head, they would leave before the coffee cooled.

But look at the light coming through the window—it does not filter out the dust before it shines; it illuminates the whole room, mess and all. The Father's love is not afraid of your thoughts; it has already seen them and stayed.

You do not need to edit yourself to be worthy of this morning. The light that woke up the world is the same light hiding in your silence, and it knows you completely.

You are not a secret waiting to be exposed; you are a child already known.
