You Are Held Before You Perform
The sun is rising, and the world is waking up to demand a performance you are terrified to give. You fear that if you stop, if you finally drop the mask, you will be seen as nothing.
But the light does not wait for your performance before it sees you. When the father saw his son returning from the wasteland, distant and covered in shame, he did not wait for the apology or the robe; he ran.
He saw the son before the son saw himself, and that was enough. In the morning, you do not need to earn the right to exist, because the light that is inside you has been waiting for you since before the night began.
It does not see a failure where you see emptiness. It sees you, and it loves you, and it is already running toward you.
You are not nothing. You are the one being held.
