The Sun Does Not Wait for Clean
The sun is just now touching the windowpane, and you are standing at the sink with a single mug in your hands. The house is quiet in that heavy, hollow way that only happens after everyone else has left or stopped caring.
You are scrubbing a stain that won't come out, and it feels like the entire weight of being the only one left to clean up the mess is pressing down on your shoulders. But look at the light coming through the glass.
It does not ask permission to enter. It does not wait for the house to be tidy before it shines on your hands.
The rising sun comes to shine on those living in darkness, not to judge the dirt on the counter. You are not alone in this kitchen.
The same light that woke up the world this morning is waking up inside you, right here, while the water runs over your fingers. The night is over.
The mess is real, but so is the dawn.
