the specific terror of seeing a team member's eyes look to you for answers you do not have, and the split-second decision to fabricate confidence rather than admit the map is blank

The Dawn Does Not Ask For Performance

The sun is just beginning to touch the horizon, and you are already carrying the weight of a map you know is blank. You saw their eyes look to you for answers you do not have, and in that split second, you chose to fabricate confidence rather than admit the void.

But the light does not require you to be the source of the way. There was a man who had nothing to offer but five loaves and two fish — a terrifying insufficiency for the crowd waiting — yet when he stopped pretending and simply gave what he had, it became enough for everyone.

You do not have to invent the path. You only have to stop hiding the fact that you are walking it too.

The dawn is not asking for your performance; it is asking for your presence. The map was never yours to draw.
