The Light Sees Only Your Love
The sun is dipping below the horizon, and the day's performance is finally over. Now comes the silence, and in that silence, you replay the message you sent.
You dissect every word, convinced the person on the other end can see right through the mask to the hollow ache beneath. You believe they know you were acting.
But the light does not read your texts like a critic looking for flaws; it reads them like a parent reading a child's scribbled note, seeing only the love that tried to speak. You are exhausted from trying to be perfect when the light only asked you to be present.
The performance was for the world, but the truth of who you are was already received. Put the phone down.
The act is finished, but you are still here, and that is enough.
