The Sun Does Not Check Credentials

The sun is coming up whether you feel ready for it or not. That is the first truth of this morning.

The light does not wait for you to fix yourself before it arrives. It simply comes.

You might be carrying a heavy sense that you are broken beyond repair, that you are fundamentally unlovable. But the rising sun does not check your credentials before it shines.

It touches the clean and the stained with the same warmth. There is a love that lavished itself on you not because of what you did, but because of who you are.

See what great love the Father has given. You are already a child of God.

And that is what you are. The morning is not a test you have to pass.

It is a gift you simply receive. The light is here, and it is not asking you to be worthy.

It is asking you to be present.
