You Remember the Light for Them
The sun is coming up, but the person you loved may not recognize the light this morning. That is a heavy way to start the day.
You are watching them disappear while they are still breathing. But listen — the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you.
It has not vanished just because their memory has. What you are looking for is not gone; you just do not recognize it yet.
The light that lived in them before the disease arrived is still there, hidden beneath the confusion. You are the one who remembers for both of you now.
That is enough. The dawn does not require their recognition to break.
