Your Mistake Is The Canvas
The sun is coming up, and with it comes the heavy question of what you will say when they wake. You built a wall of lies to keep them safe, and now you fear the wall is what will push them away.
But the light does not need your protection to do its work. There was a man born blind, and everyone assumed his condition was a punishment for sin—his or his parents'.
They judged the surface. They missed the truth entirely.
Jesus looked at the brokenness and said: this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. Your mistake is not the end of your story.
It is the canvas. The truth you are hiding is not a monster waiting to devour you.
It is the very thing that, when brought into the morning, will reveal that love was stronger than your fear all along. You do not have to be perfect to be held.
You just have to be real.
