The Light Remains When You Are Tired
The sun has gone down, and the weight you feel tonight is not a verdict—it is just the dark gathering. You are terrified that this exhaustion means you are finally failing at being real, that the mask has fused to your skin.
But the light does not require your performance to be present. It was there before you tried so hard, and it remains now that you are tired.
Thomas said the light is in the piece of wood you split and the stone you lift—it is in the ordinary fatigue of your body right now. You are not failing; you are simply human, and the grace that holds you is entire.
The terror says you must do more to be loved. The truth says you are already held, exactly as you are.
