You Do Not Have to Carry the Watch Alone
The sun has gone down, and now the work begins—the heavy, exhausting work of trying to force your body to rest while your mind stands guard at the door. You are performing relaxation, acting out the motions of peace while waiting for the next blow to land.
But notice how the shadow lengthens without your help. The dark gathers whether you are vigilant or asleep.
There is a peace that does not require your armor, a stillness that exists even when the threat is real. You do not have to manufacture the safety you are desperate to feel.
The light does not ask you to stop watching; it only asks you to stop carrying the weight of the watch alone.
