You Do Not Need to Edit the Past
The sun has gone down, and now the room is quiet enough to hear your own thoughts turn against you. You are reading the message you sent hours ago, hunting for the word that was too eager, the sentence that wasn't enough.
You are rewriting the conversation in the dark, trying to fix a mistake that only you can see. But listen — the light does not scan your history for errors.
It sees the heart that sent the words, not the perfect phrasing you wish you had chosen. The gathering dark tries to convince you that you are defined by the stumble, but the truth is simpler: you are known entirely, and you are still held.
The conversation is over, but the connection remains. You do not need to edit the past to be loved in the present.
