The Light Does Not Need Your Rehearsal
The sun has gone down, and now the house is quiet enough to hear the rehearsal begin. You are practicing the speech.
You are polishing the apology for a boundary you have not even spoken yet. You are forgiving them in advance for a hurt they haven't caused, just to make the words easier to say.
But the light does not need your rehearsal. It does not need you to smooth the edges before you speak.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He ran. Before the apology, before the explanation—he ran.
The light is already running toward you. You do not need to perfect the script to be heard.
Speak the truth. The rest will meet you in the dark.
