The Mask Is For Them, The Face For God
The smile you put on this morning feels heavy now, like a mask made of lead. You walk through the day answering 'I'm fine' while something inside is quietly breaking.
But the light does not need your performance to see you — it sees through the act, through the polite deflection, straight to the exhaustion underneath. There is a truth that lives in you which needs no costume, no armor, no pretending.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. You do not have to hold the pose for the light to love you.
The mask is for them; the face beneath is for God.
