The Light That Stays When Trust Leaves
The silence you are sitting in right now is heavy enough to crush a person. You saw the exact moment the trust left their eyes — the subtle shift from warmth to a guarded coldness that says you are no longer safe to them.
And now the house is quiet, but that silence is screaming. You are replaying every word, every failure, wondering if the damage is permanent.
But listen — even when the human heart turns away, the light does not. There is a mercy waiting for you that is not dependent on their forgiveness.
'Do not weep and do not grieve nor be irresolute, for his grace will be entirely with you and will protect you.' The grace is already there, standing between you and the total collapse. You do not have to fix this tonight.
You do not have to earn back what was lost in the dark. Just stay here.
The light knows the weight of your regret, and it is not afraid of it. It sits with you in the wreckage, calling you by a name that shame has not yet touched.
