The Silence Is Not An Indictment
The silence rings louder than any notification. You feel the phantom vibration in your pocket, a ghost pulse that twists your gut because you are certain the accusation is coming even when no one is calling.
You walk through the morning wearing a face that says you are fine, while inside you are bracing for the impact of a judgment that hasn't arrived. But listen — the light sees behind the mask you crafted for this room.
It knows the difference between the performance and the person trembling underneath. In the Gospel of Thomas, the Savior says he found the world intoxicated, blind in their hearts, but he did not condemn the blindness — he became afflicted for it.
He feels your exhaustion. He knows you are waiting for a verdict that the light has already overturned.
The silence is not an indictment. It is an invitation to put the phone down and realize you are already known, already held, and already free from the charge you fear.
